Synopsis

In 1894, the year he came to power, no one suspected that Nicholas II would be the last emperor of Russia.

Eager to be a leader of high moral standards but above all determined to protect his wife and sick son, the tsar neglected his people and their needs. The October 1917 revolution put an end to his reign. He was executed without trial with his entire family in 1918.

For a long time, this tragic outcome has not been known to historians. SECRETS OF HISTORY looks at the fatal outcome of the Romanovs and whether they all died in the Ekaterinburg massacre.
