Synopsis

Vercingetorix's name alone takes us back to the roots of a country that was then called Gaul and which the mighty army of Rome was attempting to invade.

An excellent orator and a charismatic leader, Vercingetorix rallied his people and galvanized his troops to launch an assault on the Roman legions, the most powerful in the world at the time.

It all began in early 52 BC when all the Gauls elected him supreme chief to lead the largest armed rebellion against the invaders.
