Synopsis

Now a land of tourism, Namibia was once under German influence which shaped the country, then became a protectorate of South Africa, before emerging as an independent country in 1990.

Its heritage, essentially intangible, belongs to the custodians of the country's history, the nomadic peoples who have inhabited it like the Hereros present since the 16th century. They are the soul of a land often seen as a wild and uninhabited.

This film draws a portrait of Namibia from the prehistoric period to the abolition of apartheid, the challenge of coming at peace with its past and putting behind its tragic history to build a peaceful future.
