Synopsis

At the beginning of the 20th century, Nicolas II, heir to the Romanov dynasty, may be the most powerful monarch on the planet, but he couldn't help thinking he was cursed. He strives to do the right thing, but from assassination attempts to military fiascos, his reign is marked by disasters.

Only one thing matters to him: to care for his wife, Alix, a fragile woman with whom he is very much in love and who gave him five beautiful children.
