Synopsis

Prince Albert II opened the doors of his palace to unveil the history of his family, the Grimaldis, who had ruled Monaco for over 700 years.

From feudal lords to princesses who distinguished themselves at the court of Louis XIV, the principality's history merged with that of France.

During the Belle Epoque, the foundation of the mythical district of Monte-Carlo with its casino, palaces, and the sumptuous Opéra Garnier put Monaco on the map, while the arrival of Hollywood star Grace Kelly put the finishing touch.
