Synopsis

In Germany, from the Palace of Sans Souci in Potsdam to the Palace of Charlottenburg in Berlin, SECRETS OF HISTORY tells the life and political career of one of the most influential figures in European history in the 18th century: Frederick the Great.

King of Prussia and great friend of Voltaire, Frederick II, was a scholar and an aesthete as much as a statesman feared by his contemporaries.

His perfect manners concealed a thirst for conquest and blood. He hated women as much as boredom, grew up under the yoke of a violent father, and spent his life seeking fame and recognition.
