Synopsis

In early November 1956, the Red Army was rushing to Budapest to crush Hungarians fighting for their freedom. In Egypt, French, British and Israeli troops took the Suez Canal by storm. Their goal was to overthrow Gamal Abdel Nasser, the leader of Arab nationalism. Only 11 years after WWII, the world was on the verge of a disaster.

This film provides an overview of that critical year, a key period in the Cold War when new geopolitical cards were being dealt and would shape the coming decades.
