SMALL ANIMALS OF AFRICA

Survive in an environment dominated by giants

Synopsis

They have one thing in common: you can't see them when the grass is high. Some are rodents; others are carnivores, reptiles, or monkeys. One way or another, their small size hurts them because they have to get by in an environment dominated by giants. They have learned to survive by exploiting whatever resources their tiny habitat provides.

Turtles, chameleons, mongooses, squirrels, and their like all had to adapt smartly to survive while standing less than 30cm from the ground.
