Synopsis

One would not expect to find vines under certain latitudes. Take, for example, British Columbia with its sumptuous landscapes made of islands, vast wilderness, and crystalline lakes. In some localities, microclimates favor wine production.

The production is recent and concentrated in a few regions, such as Vancouver Island, which is gaining recognition for the quality of its wines, and the Okanagan Valley. On this majestic site, vines cling to steep slopes surrounding the lakes and produce the famous Ice Wine.
