Synopsis

One would not expect to find vines under certain latitudes. Take, for example, British Columbia with its sumptuous landscapes made of islands, vast wilderness, and crystalline lakes. There, some localities benefit from microclimates favorable to the development of wine.

The production is recent and concentrated on a few regions such as Vancouver Island, which is getting known for the quality of its wines, or the Okanagan Valley, a majestic site where vines cling to steep slopes surrounding the lakes and give the famous Ice Wine.
