Synopsis

The roman civilization most lasting accomplishment defines even today diverse societies and it’s called urbanization.

Indeed, in order to rule and unify its conquests stretching from Britain to Iran, the Roman founded new cities and adopted the same urban policy all over their empire.

Among the daughters of Rome, Volubilis, in Northern Africa, and Gerasa, in the Middle East, are both testaments to this concerted strategy.
