Synopsis

Rakovets has a population of 200 and is located in western Ukraine.

Myron, 71, has lived alone with his horse ever since his wife left and his two sons went to the front. Natalia, a beekeeper and mother of nine, homeschools her children while her husband volunteers at a checkpoint. The women at the restaurant prepare thousands of dumplings for the soldiers. When the sirens sound, everyone takes shelter in the classroom.

Life goes on, stubbornly, as they wait.
