Synopsis

In 1661, Nicolas Fouquet was the most powerful minister in the kingdom. A few months later, he was arrested on the orders of a 23-year-old king determined to rule alone.

Behind this arbitrary arrest lies far more than a disgrace: the birth of absolute monarchy and the rise of the man who would become the Sun King.
