Synopsis

Johan meets the younger Emmelie at the tavern, and not long after, they are married and have a child together.

But then life takes a turn. Johan's tavern closes, and the couple moves in with their mother-in-law, taking the baby with them. When love fades, they turn into bitter enemies. A divorce is followed by a custody dispute.

This poisonous cocktail ends with one of the cruelest murders in Åland's history.
