Synopsis

Dreaded for its unpredictable and devastating floods, the Durance River has long been considered the scourge of Provence.

Yet, since ancient times, it has been an essential communication route between the Alps and the Mediterranean. Among other things, it transported timber from the mountain forests to build Avignon's finest monuments.
