Synopsis

On January 13, 2012, 4,000 passengers and crew members are cruising in the Mediterranean on board the Concordia. As it is Friday, it is a gala evening on the magnificent liner. There is no indication that a disaster is about to occur.

Off the island of Giglio, in Italy, on calm seas, the ship hits a rock. The water immediately rushed into the hull, which was ripped open over a length of 53 meters and a width of 7.30 meters. The ship tilts dangerously, and there is panic on board: the Costa Concordia is sinking.

32 people perished in the wreck as told by survivors of the tragedy.
