Synopsis

On May 7, 1915, the British trans-Atlantic liner Lusitania is torpedoed by a German submarine.

The Germans justify the action by claiming that the ship was transporting concealed weapons.

The Americans deny and use the attack to shift public opinion against Germany and prepare to enter the war.
