In the distant past, fire was seen as a development tool for societies, but in recent decades it has become a real scourge for Mediterranean forests and for mankind.

On the island of Corsica, the foresters and firefighters are multiplying prevention operations by clearing undergrowth or by prescribed burns.

Thanks to these men the danger remains limited.
