Synopsis

Fictional aliens can be hostile or friendly, powerful or vulnerable, viscous or scaly, and even resemble us. They best exemplify the philosophical idea of the Other: knowing him is also a way of knowing oneself.

The geopolitical and social conflicts of the modern world have radically changed our relationship with the Other.

How does it translate into today's cinema? From which angles and through which perspectives are the Other represented? Is the alien a springboard or a mirror?
