Synopsis

In 1943, children in the Terezin concentration camp were cast in an opera, a thinly veiled satire about Hitler. Among them was Ela Weissberger, one of the only survivors of that very unusual camp which was a theater for Nazi propaganda.

Decades later, Ela tells this story. A little-known, remarkable tale rich in content: the history of the camp, the opera, Ela’s life and memories of survivors.
