Synopsis

Cotonou is known for its motorcycle taxis but, more importantly, the city concentrates an important part of the history of Benin and Africa.

From Lake Nokoué to Ganvié, through the Gate of No Return in Ouidah and the mosque of Porto Novo, the dreadful memories of slavery are being honored.

But Benin is also the cradle of voodoo culture celebrated through the songs of the Gangbe Brass Band.
