Synopsis
Jenny, whose life has never been easy, is swept off her feet by the dark, handsome, successful painter, Erich.
Six weeks after they met, her wildest dream had come true: they were married, and she could turn her back forever on her sordid New York apartment, the endless battles over money with her ex-husband, and the misery of bringing up two small children on a low income.
Little does she realise that her husband is a dangerous psychopath, who has married her to expiate an earlier sin: the murder of his mother. He has chosen poor Jenny because she looks astonishingly like his mother, and only extreme courage will save her life when she discovers the truth.
