Synopsis

During an expedition to the forests of North Sumatra, one of the greatest primate specialists, David Delatorre, observed an orangutan female named Ratna, which he had studied many times. But that day, he couldn't believe his eyes: Ratna is devouring her own baby!

What happened to Ratna? How will she behave with the next baby she's carrying in her belly in an environment that is constantly shrinking because of oil palm plantations?

While Ratna is losing her mind, some believe that a still unknown population of orangutans lives in northern Borneo. An expedition goes to their encounter to better understand what could save this species.
