In 1991, Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web, which made navigation from one Internet page to another possible without typing in a single line of code. Better still, he gave away access to the source codes of his creation.

Now, nobody will ever be able to sell the heart of the Internet. Tim Berners-Lee had just bequeathed it to Humanity.
