To live and survive in the wild
An episode from the series ANIMAL STRATEGIES
Size is a very relative notion in nature. You can be the baby in a family of giants or the giant in a family whose largest members measure only a few centimetres. You can be a little herbivore or a tiny predator.
All species share the same problem when they have their young: helping them to grow to adulthood and independence, at the pace suited to the species.
