Synopsis

China imposed strict lockdowns for three years during the Covid pandemic, and then everything collapsed in a matter of hours when Beijing yielded to street pressure.

The much-feared massive wave of infections immediately swept through, hospitals were overwhelmed, pharmacies were emptied, but restaurants were packed and the thirst for freedom was rekindled.
