Synopsis

Eve Ensler’s play sparked a global movement to combat violence against women. Translated into 45 languages and performed in 130 countries, it has raised $70 million for V-Day, the organization she founded.

This film follows her to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where rape has become a normalized weapon of war. It is a deeply moving encounter between an activist and women who have had everything taken from them, as well as an act of restoring dignity through theater.
