It was in Toronto that George J. Lépine founded Okichitaw, a martial art inspired by the warrior traditions of Canada’s First Nations.

Combining Amerindian techniques, ancestral weapons, and historical research, Okichitaw is as much a reconstruction as it is a creation, and proof that Indigenous cultures are not relics—provided they know how to innovate and inspire.
