Synopsis

In Florence, at the Chile Marroso fencing hall, enthusiasts are resurrecting 15th-century swordsmanship from old manuscripts. Swords, axes, shields—everything is reconstructed with a historian’s precision and a fighter’s intensity.

Since 2011, the French Federation of Historical European Martial Arts has been pursuing the same quest.

Both sides of the Alps share the same conviction: the old masters possessed knowledge that we have lost.
