Synopsis
Catherine Leroy is one of the very few female photographers to have covered the Vietnam War between 1966 and 1968. At the age of 21, with no experience, she decided to leave everything behind to get as close as possible to the hostilities.
Her photos, of striking intimacy, tell the story of a war as seen by a fearless young woman who, alone among soldiers her own age, captured the reality of combat with power and humanity.
