	The traditions of Chinese medicine, still practiced today, have significantly impacted global health.
Since the 1950s, it has combined tradition and modernity, and its pharmacopoeia has been included in WHO compendia.
It was in China that an effective treatment for malaria was developed by scientist and physician Tu Youyou, who won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2015.
