Synopsis

The State of Bahia in Brazil is home to a forest much less known than the Amazon: the Atlantic Forest. Dense and humid, it stretches along the ocean of the same name.

Initially one of the largest ecosystems in South America, it has suffered a drastic reduction in its surface area, leading to the loss of many plant and animal species.

Yet, it plays a vital role as a home to endemic species and unique ecosystems.
