Synopsis

Unlike Operation Overlord, which is still well-known, Operation Dragoon is almost forgotten. Paradoxically, the second landing has been forgotten.

This film recounts the bravery of a contingent of French servicemen from Africa and the enthusiastic welcome they received from the local population.

These memorable events are recounted by those who were liberated, still young in August 1944, and by historians who take us to the emblematic sites of this operation that was both fratricidal and lightning fast.
